About Us

AMA Dance Etc. was founded July 7, 1995 by Muriel Jones.  AMA specializes in praise
dance, musicals, pageants, auxiliary competitions, conferences, and more.
Muriel Jones is a graduate of Prairie View A& M
University where she majored in physical education
and business.  She has over 15yrs of experience in
dance and choreography.  She is a certified
All-Level Physical Education Teacher.

Who we've worked with
Lauren Anderson - Native Houstonian, danced with Houston Ballet from 1983 to 2006, performing
leading roles in all the great classical ballets, appearing across the world to critical acclaim, and in the
process, becoming one of Houston Ballet’s most beloved stars.
Alex Arizpe - Alex has been on the faculty of Houston's Ballet Academy's Summer
Intensive, The Houston Met, Uptown Dance Company and Rodriguez Dance
Academy.  Alex is also proud to be a retired Houston Fire Fighter.
J Xavier  - Native Houstonian, Hip Hop Christian Rapper, actor, and TV Host. At the
age of 12, J.Xavier won PAX-TV’s America’s Most Talented Kids Show contest.

for 2006 & 2007 Football Season
